What you see

Two weeks of fires and a twelve-tab brain, so she books a trip: a one-way ticket down the hall. In 16:9 each of five illustrations becomes a tilted postcard on warm risograph paper, with big synced lyrics in coral and teal, a boarding pass (FROM: DESK, TO: BED, FLIGHT TIME: 4 SEC) and passport stamps that slam on every chorus. In 9:16 the illustration fills the frame, with the lyric on a paper label.

Intro

Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking.
We will not be going anywhere.

Verse

Two weeks of fires and a twelve-tab brain
Coffee number five and I still missed the train
So I booked a trip, first class, no fee
One-way ticket down the hall for me

Pre-chorus

Packed my PJs and a bag of chips
Sunglasses on for the three-step trip

Chorus

I'm goin' on vacation
To my bed, bed, bed
Five-star destination
Pillow for my head
No passport, no plane, no airport line
Out of office, do not disturb, I'm doing fine
I'm goin' on vacation
To my bed, bed, bed

Verse

The view is the ceiling, an ocean of sheets
Room service is me reaching over for treats
Forecast says duvet, seventy-two
Wi-Fi is on but I'm ignoring you

Pre-chorus

Phone face down, the tide rolls in
Blanket up to my chin, chin, chin

Chorus

Bridge

Shhh, don't call, don't text
Monday's a rumor, I'll check it next
Shhh, the tide is coming in
It's just my blanket, let it win

Final chorus

Outro

Wish you were here.
No I don't.
