Git Blame
Pulled the history. Line forty-two? His name. Forty-three? Him again. And the co-author on that 3:14 a.m. commit was my best friend. 💀 A breakup song in git blame.

The code behind it

What you see
A blame view where every gutter fills with his name, prod catching fire at 3:14 a.m., a git log that scrolls forever, a neon synthwave chorus where the lines get squashed and rebased and his name never moves, a force-push bouncing off branch protection, git shortlog after every chorus (42 lines him, 0 me), and a corkboard of timestamped receipts where "love you" gets reverted a minute later.

Intro
Okay.
Let's see who wrote this.
Verse
You said you never touched it
Don't know what I mean
Funny, I pulled the history
It's all up on my screen
Line forty-two?
Your name.
Forty-three?
You again.
Three fourteen a.m.
Commit says, fixed some things
Fixed what? My trust?
'Cause that's broken in prod
Pushed straight to main
No review, no pause
Now the whole thing's burning
And my coffee went cold
And you're looking me dead in the face
Like the code wrote itself
Pre-chorus
It's in the log
It's in the log
You can tell me I'm wrong
But it's in the log
Chorus
Git blame, git blame
Every line got your name
Git blame, git blame
You can lie, the log won't change
Squash it, rebase it
Rewrite it, rearrange it
I don't need your version
I can see who made it
Verse
You told your friends
I'm the one who broke the build
That's cute
The diff is public
Doesn't care how you feel
Said you'd circle back
You just circled the block
Tried to force-push past me
Branch protection:
Locked.
Every little lie came
Timestamped and signed
Every nothing's going on
Sitting right there in the lines
Co-authored with my best friend?
That's a hell of a commit
You didn't even hide it
You just hoped I'd never check it
Pre-chorus
It's in the log
It's in the log
Change the story all you want
It's still in the log
Chorus
Git blame, git blame
Every line got your name
Git blame, git blame
You can lie, the log won't change
Squash it, rebase it
Rewrite it, rearrange it
I don't need your version
I can see who made it
Bridge
Tuesday.
Two fourteen a.m.
Working late.
Friday.
Eleven fifty-two p.m.
At the gym.
Sunday.
Nine oh three a.m.
Love you.
Reverted.
Sunday.
Nine oh four.
Bridge
I don't need your side
I don't need your alibi
One command
One little line
And look who showed up
Every time
Git blame.
Final chorus
Git blame, git blame
Every line got your name
Git blame, git blame
You can lie, the log won't change
Squash it, rebase it
Rewrite it, rearrange it
I don't need your version
I can see who made it
Git blame, git blame
Every line got your name
No excuses left to use
Git blame says it was you
Outro
Collaborator removed.
Changes saved.
